Ronald Karpenko

January 19, 1949 — January 9, 2025

Ronald Karpenko passed away on the afternoon of January 9th, 2025 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loved ones, after a 3-year long battle with a rare, sarcomatoid cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife Carol, his daughter Kelly, his grandsons Ian and Matthew - all of whom he resided with; his two sons Jeffrey and Scott, his brothers Don and Randy, his sisters Kathy Bobbins and Sandy Redente, and his cherished granddaughter Alyssa. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, 8 total grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Joephine Karpenko. He enjoyed spending time in the pool floating beside his wife, sled riding down the hills and slopes of his home, painting and creating, collecting, watching movies and spending time with those closest to him. Ron also loved traveling with his brother and sister-in-law Don & Maryann alongside his wife Carol to Maine, Cape Cod, New Hampshire and many more. His weekends throughout his life consisted of family gatherings, picnics and BBQs, football games and projects to better their household. He was well known for his love of Disney and Disney World, enjoying it often with his family. A devoted family man, he was the center of many hearts. His love for his children and grandchildren was well known through the magic he provided throughout their lives. His 51-year marriage with Carol was an example to us all of exactly what love is and should be. He had no limits when it came to those he cherished. He was a beam of light no matter the time, day or situation. He brought love into each and every life he touched, whether it be friends, neighbors, acquaintances, grocery store encounters, doctors - they will never forget him and his bright smile, kind eyes and contagious laugh. He taught us all the real meaning and need for kindness, patience, care, generosity, understanding, forgiveness and most importantly - peace. It was truly a blessing to experience his gentle soul in this world. He will be heavily missed and continuously loved in all the memories we’ve created together and will keep creating in his honor.
