Robert J. Quinn

Robert James Quinn, 74 of Pownal, VT, passed away on February 26, 2023 at his home following a battle with cancer. Robert was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 20, 1948, the son of John Joseph and Dorothy (Stillwell) Quinn. Robert married Ruth Steinberg, whom he met through the internet, on October 25, 2003. Robert was a Sergeant in the Army National Guard in New York from 1972 until 1994, where he served as a Supply Truck Driver. Robert is survived by his wife, Ruth Quinn of Pownal; his step-children; Stacey (David) Starkey of Pownal and Christopher Myers also of Pownal; his grandchildren, Meadow, Anthony and Isabella Mazza and Michael Myers and his brother, John Wagnon of California and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Sue Scism of North Carolina. He was predeceased by a sister, Diane Wagnon. Funeral services for Robert will be held on Tuesday March 7 at 11:00 am at the Mahar Funeral Home 628 Main Street in Bennington, VT. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday March 6 from 2-5 PM. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in the spring.
