Robert Carl Fowler

March 15, 1944 — June 11, 2021

Robert Carl Fowler, 77, a resident of 2973 West Road, Bennington, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Albany Medical Center following a long illness.

Born in Bennington on March 15, 1944, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Marion (Curren) Fowler. Carl received his early education in Pownal and was a graduate of Hoosick Falls High School. He later graduated from Cobleskill College.

Carl married Madeline Balder at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Hoosick Falls, NY on April 24, 1965.

For many years Carl owned and operated Carl's Tractor Repair where he repaired all types of tractors and farm equipment.

He was an avid collector of all types of farm tractors, enjoyed tractor pulling, collected antique toys and was a founder of the Tri-State Tractor Club.

Survivors include his wife, Madeline Fowler of Bennington; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Matthew Lambert of Pownal and Lynn and Brian Beers of Virginia; three grandchildren, Emily and Eric Lambert and Brooke Beers and two great-granddaughters, Grace Lambert and Iris Hoot; a sister, Norma Salter of Mansfield, CT and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Carl's request private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
