Robert John Dufresne

Robert John Dufresne, a resident of Bennington, VT passed away peacefully at his home on August 25th, 2023 surrounded by family and friends, following a long illness. He was born on January 10th, 1960 in Bennington, VT. He was one of twelve children of the late Winifred and Marion (Knights) Dufresne. Robert received his education at Mount Anthony Union High School, and would go on to work in the food service industry for the next 30 years. He was employed at the Vermont Steakhouse, Kevin’s in North Bennington, and Geanellis’. Robert also stayed busy doing other odd jobs, including tree work, for those who needed it. Robert had several interests and hobbies. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, and hike. Robert also showed interest in computers and was an avid fan of NASCAR. In addition to his partner, Susan Davis, he is survived by his seven siblings, Timothy Dufresne, Armond Dufresne, Christopher Dufrense, Patti Luczynski, Stephen Dufresne, Rose Dufrense, and Deborah Dufresne; and many friends. Robert is predeceased by sisters Threasa, Winfred Jr. and Sherry and brother Richard. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life for Robert at 711 County Street in Bennington, VT at 1:00pm on September 30th, 2023.
