ROBERT BOUTIN OBITUARY
BENNINGTON, VERMONT
Robert Norman "Buck" Boutin, age 81, a resident of Bennington, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington following a long illness.
He was born in Berlin, NH on January 12, 1937, and was the son of Alcide and Alberta (Feron) Boutin. He received his education in Berlin schools. He served in the Army during Korea. For many years Robert was an over the road truck driver. In addition to New Hampshire and Bennington, he has lived in California and Kansas.
He married the former Aleta Thurston on September 16, 2009. Mrs. Boutin survives.
He was a former member of the American Legion, and the Moose Club. He enjoyed traveling, playing horseshoes and was a former member of the Bennington Horseshoe Club.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Sherri Hastings, Steven Boutin, Sande Lamanuzi, Sue Turner, and Scott Boutin. He leaves eight grandchildren: Dominick, Timothy, Thomas, Matthew, Kyle, Jacob, Felicia, and Amanda, as well as three great grandchildren. Robert is also survived by two sisters; Lorraine (Donald) Bedard, and Claire (Paul) Daly, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Robert has one step-daughter: Lisa (Steven) Flynn and a step grandson, Morgan Flynn.
A graveside service will be held later in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, VT.
