Richard Noel Taddeo

NORTH BENNINGTON Richard “Rick” Taddeo, 75, a resident of North Bennington Road, passed away peacefully on January 1st, 2023, following a long illness. He was born in Melrose, Massachusetts on December 16th, 1947 to Miriam Ritchie and the late Robert Taddeo. He received his education in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School. He served in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1970. Rick later graduated from Nursing School in Melrose and the Anesthesia School at Mary Hitchcock. He enjoyed spending his time gardening and playing hockey. Rick was a passionate Red Sox, New England Patriots and Bruins fan. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Taddeo, of North Bennington, VT, two sons, Alexander Taddeo, of Richmond, VA, Kevin Taddeo (Tracey), of Texas, a daughter, Sara (Anthony), of North Troy, VT, and his mother, Miriam Smith. Rick has three granddaughters: Lila, Tristan and Vivienne. Also surviving is a sister, Kathy Diaz, of Peabody, MA, a sister-in-law, Irene McClean, Ridgeland, MS, two nieces, Sara and Jennifer, and several nephews. Rick was predeceased by his father, Robert Taddeo, and a sister, Teresa Taddeo. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
