Richard Joseph Corsetti

April 27, 1946 — November 23, 2023

The family of Richard Joseph Corsetti, of Pownal VT, is saddened to announce his passing on November 23rd at the age of 77. Richard will lovingly be remembered by his wife of almost 54 years, Patricia (Martin) Corsetti, his three daughters, Cynthia (Steven) Marsden of Bennington, VT, Cheryl Corsetti of Plattsburgh, NY and Lori Cipriani of New Fairfield, CT. He was also a loving and devoted Papa to his seven grandchildren, James, Andrew and Ryan Marsden, Kaitlyn and Logan Lussier, and Mason and Sadie Cipriani. Richard was also loved by several brothers and sisters in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Richard was pre-deceased by his sister, Cheryl Alosso, his brother, James Corsetti, his mother, Eleanor (Corrado) Alosso, and his father, Ralph Corsetti. Richard was born on April 27th, 1946 in Medford, Massachusetts. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1964 and proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1966. He served a tour in Vietnam as a Military Police Officer and was later stationed at Loring Airforce Base in Limestone, Maine. It was here where he met the love of his life, Patricia, and married her on January 17th, 1970. They started a family and moved to Vermont to raise their three girls in 1977. Richard was employed as a Quality Control Manager at U.S. Tsubaki in Bennington, VT for 25 years. Once retired, he discovered his passion and talent for oil painting and could often be found in his home studio jamming along to the Rolling Stones while creating beautiful works of art that he generously shared with loved ones and friends over the next 20 years. Richard will be most remembered for his fierce love and dedication to his family. For those who knew him, it was evident that his wife, daughters and grandchildren were his world. There was never a shortage of laughter, I Love You’s, and hugs when in his presence. Although his wicked sense of humor and knack for making difficult situations a “Piece of Cake” will sorely be missed, we take comfort in knowing his legacy will be carried on through his beautiful grandchildren. A private memorial will be held per request of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in the memory of Richard can be made to the Vermont Home Activities Fund (Veteran’s Home), 325 North St. Bennington, VT 05201.
