Rhoda Charron

Rhoda M. Charron, 99, a longtime resident of Bennington, Vermont, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, Vermont. Rhoda was born on July 10,1925 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Thusnelda (Moran) Spahn. Rhoda was a 1943 graduate of Erasmus High School in Brooklyn. On May 19th,1973 in Bennington Vermont, Rhoda married Arthur Charron. Together they shared nearly 50 years together. Art passed away on July 29, 2022. Rhoda was employed as a teller at the First Vermont Bank. She also worked at the Paradise Restaurant, the 421, and the Bennington Coffee Shop. Rhoda’s husband and family were her main interests. Survivors include her sons: George Williamson and William Williamson; four grandchildren: Shannon Baltazar, Alexa Williamson, Tovah Williamson, Geri Williamson; and three great grandchildren: Christian Connelly, Joseph Baltazar and Rachel Baltazar. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Charron, and a son, Charles Edward Williamson. There will be a private burial to take place at the Vermont Veterans Home Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
