RAYMOND LAMPRON OBITUARY
BENNINGTON, VERMONT
Raymond Morris Lampron, age 91, a resident of East Main Street, died on Sunday morning, November 13, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Barre, VT on September 5, 1925, and was the son of the late Antonio and Matilda (Rheume) Lampron. He received his education in Barre, Washington and Plainfield. He served in the Army with the 45th Infantry Division in France and Germany during World War II, from 1944-1946. At the time of his Honorable Discharge, he was with Company D 179thnInfantry Regiment. He was very proud of the time he served his country.
Raymond married the former Eva Jean Bushee on November 22, 1947 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manchester, VT. Mrs. Lampron survives. He is a communicant of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Parish.
Raymond had been employed at Cushman Furniture Company for thirty two years, he later worked at UST in Bennington until his retirement.
He is a member of the American Legion, Bennington Post #13. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, lawn care and spending time with family.
Survivors besides his wife include his his children: Stephen (Joan) Lampron of North Hoosick, NY, Linda Guetti, (Kevin Krawczyk) of Bennington, Stanley (Nanette) of Bennington, Gary Lampron (Sharon Stemp) of Bennington, and Dennis ( Charlotte) of Bennington.
He leaves eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, as well as numerous step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by one sister, Claire Douglas of Willsboro, NY, as well as nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sisters; Antionette Rousseau, Rose Gervais, Loretta Caron, and Claudia Barcus, as well as his brothers; Lucien Lampron, Joe Lampron, Beltren Lampron and Alyre Lampron
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 12:30 PM at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington.
Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7PM
