Priscilla G. Goddard (Proud)

BENNINGTON

Priscilla Genne Goddard,75, a resident of Willowbrook Drive, Bennington, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in North Adams, MA on May 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Wilford and Nelly (Harris) Proud. She received her early education at the Kurn Hatin Home and later at Bennington High School.

In earlier years Priscilla was employed at the Crane Paper Company in North Adams. She later worked at Bennington Brush, CB Sports and then at Crescent Manor Nursing Home for several years until the time of her retirement.

She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the S.A.S.H. program. Priscilla was a devoted humanitarian who enjoyed helping others and always gave more than she received. She spent much of her time feeding and caring for feral cats that she would come across.

Survivors include two daughters, Leona G. Ward of Bennington and Tanya L. Harrington and her husband Leverette of Shaftsbury; a sister, Sylvia Proud of Pownal; her former husband, Wayne Goddard of Pownal; two grandsons, Jacob P. White and his wife, Amy Spencer of Florida, MA and Dakota J. White and his fiancée Jade M. Taylor of Latham, NY; a great-grandson, Dawson J. White; step-great-grandchildren, Sabby, Micah and Mannix; two nephews and a niece, Harry D. and Douglas J. Seager and Paula Seager; a step-grandson, Paul R. Limmer (Harrington) and his children, Jayleen and Maelanis along with their mother, Shayna Rodriguez and many cousins and friends.

Priscilla was predeceased by a sister, Pauline R. Seager and a son-in-law, Jeffrey J. Ward.

A Celebration of Life for Priscilla will be celebrated on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Pownal United Methodist Church on Church Street in Pownal at 2:00 p.m.
