Peter J. Brady, 60, a resident of Washington Avenue In Bennington, Vermont passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to heart failure on March 10, 2023. Born on May 24, 1962 in Greenpoint Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of the late Mary (Mclee) Brady and Martin Brady Sr. Peter graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School in 1981, and later graduated from Southern Vermont College receiving his associates degree in business management. He managed many businesses over the years. Peter served two terms as a Vermont legislator, the first term he was appointed by the governor and the second term he was re-elected. Peter will be remembered by his family as an amazing father, papa, brother, son, and uncle. He will be remembered by Bennington and the community as a great friend. Survivors include his Son; Peter Jr. (Keanna). His grandchildren; Hayden, Marcus, Kaiden, Hannah, Baay, Oakland, Paxtyn.As well as his siblings; Mary Ellen Longton (James), David Brady, Margaret Brady (Jack), and Kathleen Connors (Kenneth). Peter is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends as well as, a special friend; Lisa Bird. Peter is predeceased by his Daughter, Ashley Brady, his siblings; Martin F. Brady Jr., Patrick M. Brady, James R. Brady, Michael P. Brady, and Rosemary Brady. A niece, Kristin Berard, and a sister in law, Vicki Sprague Friends are invited to calling hours at Mahar Funeral Home in Bennington from 2pm till 4pm on Thursday, March 16th, 2023. A memorial service in honor of Peter will be held at 4pm following the conclusion of calling hours.
