Peggy Joan Crandall Ferguson, age 75, a resident of Bennington died on August 18, 2019 following a brief illness.
She was born in Hoosick Falls, NY on July 26, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ida (Lackey) Crandall. She received her education in Hoosick Falls Schools. She is the widow of Edward Ferguson. For many years, she had been employed at the former Polygraphic Printing Company in North Bennington.
Peggy was an avid Bingo player, she loved going to the casinos, traveling and doing puzzles. She also played the piano and organ.
Survivors include two daughters: Debbie Bourn ("Chip") Tifft of North Pownal and Barbara Bourn and Matthew VanOesen of Port Jervis, NY. Peggy leaves four grandchildren: Candy Shores, Kristie Miller, Kayla Miller, and Kelli Gulla as well as several great grandchildren. She is survived by two sisters; Alice (Bill) Stearns, Leona (Harold) Harris and her brother, Harry (Doreen) Crandall and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by one brother, Bernard Crandall, and two sisters; Marie Crandall and Rita Austin.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. in Bennington on Thursday, August 22, from 4:00PM until 6:00PM. Funeral services will be private by her family.
