Pauline H. Senecal

May 13, 1927 — January 18, 2017

Pauline (Polly) H. Senecal, 89, a resident of North Bennington, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Bennington on May 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Larry and Grace (Hoag) Hall. Polly received her education in the Bennington schools.

Polly married Charles D. "Chuck" Senecal on August 16, 1945. Mr. Senecal died April 27, 2015.

In earlier years Polly was employed at Stanley Tools in Shaftsbury and later worked for several years at the Waverley Company in Adams, MA.

Polly's greatest pleasure in life came from always caring for her husband and her family. She enjoyed motorcycle rides with Chuck, collecting teddy bears, frogs and moose of all types, gardening and always wearing bright clothing and loud jewelry!

Survivors include two sons, Arthur J. Senecal of North Bennington and Scott Senecal and his wife Jeannie of Baldwinsville, NY; eleven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pauline was predeceased by a son, Terry Senecal, a daughter-in-law, Sandra Senecal and a sister, Betty Sherman.

Memorial services celebrating the life of Pauline Senecal will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Penny Rich Smith officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will take place in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery.
