Pauline Marie Restino

Mrs. Pauline Restino, 98, died on Monday, November 27, 2023, from a COVID-related stroke at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. She was born in Mechanicville, NY, on August 9, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Carmen and Amelia (Fusco) Cefalo. She attended school in Mechanicville. Pauline worked at several mill jobs as a seamstress and was a homemaker most of her life, caring for her family and relatives. She was predeceased by her first husband of 2 years, Francis Pannone, and her husband of 55 years, Joseph Restino. Pauline was a communicant of Sacred Heart Saint Frances de Sales Church in Bennington. She loved games, puzzles, cooking, soap operas, music, family vacations and fellowship with friends, neighbors and family. She had a sweet personality with a loving heart for all who knew her. She is survived by her three children, Paul (Pannone) Restino (Marlene) of Bennington, Samuel Restino of Bennington, Joseph Restino (Linda) of Waltham, MA, and step-son, Gary Restino (Mary Margaret) of Round Lake, NY. She is a grandmother to Carmen, Nicholas, Travis, Christopher, Leah and Anna; great-grandmother to Bella, Ty, Enzo, Dominic, Justin, Victor, Logan Chapman and Connor Trout; and aunt to several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sisters Anna Spann, Josephine Palmer, Lucy Ercolino, Philomena Miazga, Mary Moylan and brother Salvadore Cefalo. Visitation will be held at Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT, on Monday, December 4th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Saint Frances de Sales Church, 238 Main Street, Bennington, VT. The Restino family would like to thank; The staff and Nurses at: CLR, West Wing at SVMC , SVMC Pownal Campus, and Albany Medical Center. As well as, Dr. Burdock for the wonderful care they provided Pauline. The family would also like to thank, the parishioners at Sacred Heart St. Francis De Sales Church in Bennington.
