Pauline Knapp Granger, 96, a longtime resident of Shaftsbury, VT died Thursday April 6, 2023 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. She was born in Shaftsbury, VT February 9, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Silas and Doris (Briggs) Harrington. She received her education in North Bennington and was a graduate of North Bennington High School. She later graduated from Saint Joseph’s Business College. In earlier years Pauline had been employed as a Paralegal Secretary for the law firm Williams, Witten, Carter and Dollard. She had also been employed as the Shaftsbury Town Clerk. For many years she owned and operated her own real estate company, Pauline H. Knapp Real Estate. Pauline was a former member of the Norshaft Lions Club, the Order of Eastern Star and the Home Den. Survivors include her children, Bruce Knapp (Linda) of Shaftsbury, VT, Marlene Camp of Fayetville, Tennessee and Dawn Evans (Raymond) of Mineral, Virginia. Seven grandchildren, Scott Kemp, Jason Kemp, Bruce Knapp Jr., Margo Kemp, Michael Williams, Brianna Padgett and Sierra Camp. Her great grandchildren, Kohler and Milia Kemp, Amara and Chelsea Branford, Jadyn Knapp, Kain, Laci and Axel Williams, Jeremy and Addison Padgett and Paxon Cotham-Camp. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Ralph and Gerald Harrington and two sisters, Evelyn Ware and Martha Harrington. At Pauline’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
