Patrick L. "Pete" Morse, 68, a resident of Route 7 South in Bennington died Tuesday December 22, 2020 at his residence following a long illness.
Born in Bennington, Vermont October 27, 1952, he was the son of the late Richard and Helen (Gates) Morse. He received his education in Bennington and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School.
Pete married the former Ellie-may Crandall on May 18, 1991.
Pete worked at many different jobs. He was a painter, did construction, some junking and farming. For several years he was employed at Dunkin Donuts and Burger King.
He enjoyed watching westerns, and especially John Wayne and Chuck Norris movies. He loved to be outdoors, working on cars, cooking and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved his dog, Hatchet Zachary Morse.
Survivors include his wife, Ellie-May Morse of Bennington; his sons, Patrick Morse Jr., Donald J. Morse II, Cody Morse, Derek Jeter Morse Luke E. Morse and Kyle T. Morse; his grandchildren, Deonna, Rashawn, Dagion, Lillian, Zachary, Zoey, Baylen and Adalynn along with several great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Morse; his sisters, Peggy Teator and Rita Gates along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by five sisters, Kay Bourn, Ava Maxham, Geraldine Wideawake, Donna Morse and Patricia Brown and three brothers, Willard, Phillip and Ted Morse.
A graveside service will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery in the spring.
