PATRICIA McCORMACK OBITUARY
MECHANICSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA

Patricia A. (Maloney) McCormack, age 85, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

Born January 8, 1933 in Bennington, VT the daughter of the late James A. and Alma (LaFlamme) Maloney.

She was a graduate of Bennington High School and attended the Henry W. Bishop, Ill School of Nursing in Pittsfield, MA, becoming a Registered Nurse in 1953. Over her forty-year career she worked in several areas of nursing. She served on several town boards and volunteered for many years in her local community in East Granby, CT where she raised her six children. Throughout her life, "Pat" or "Mimi" identified herself as a Vermonter. She always said she had a wonderful childhood, and in her later years enjoyed gardening, decorating, BBC mysteries, news, politics, water exercise, nature and visits with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children; Maura (Brian) McNamara, Erin McCormack and Donald Koundakjian, Patrick F. McCormack, Sheila (Tod) Wyn, James (Kelly) McCormack, Shavaun (Kevin) Cloran, her eleven grandchildren: Jennifer (Brian) Walton, Corrine (Franz) Kindler, Dan (Samantha) McNamara, Sara McNamara, Dyland and Bruce Koundakjian, Sean and Shannon Cloran, Jessica and McCormack "Mac" Wyn, Patrick "Paddy" McCormack and three great grandchildren, Liam, Cooper, and Sullivan. She leaves many beloved nieces, nephews grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her lifelong friends, Margo Dragon Preus, and Betty Daigneault Hall.

She is predeceased by by her husband, Dr. Patrick F. McCormack, and by her eight brothers and two sisters, James, Andrew, John, Robert, William, Joseph, Edward, Richard, Lucille Hurd, and Marie Holmes.

Funeral services and a celebration of life is planned for the summer, and the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington, VT will be assisting the family.
