Patricia J. Drake (Dutton)

January 21, 1944 — May 7, 2018

Patricia J. Drake, 74, a resident of Center Street, Pownal, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at her home following a long illness.

Born in Syracuse, NY January 21, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Virginia (Howard) Dutton. She received her education in the Syracuse schools. Pat married Albert L. Drake on November 22, 1969 in Hoosick Falls, NY. Mr. Drake died March 16, 2011.

Pat was employed as a pharmacy technician at the Bennington Price Chopper for several years prior to her retirement in 2012.

She enjoyed time spent with her family and was an avid Bingo player.

Survivors include five children, Denise Watson, Susan Overend Haynes and Cindy Drake, all of Shaftsbury, Leonard Drake of Readsboro and Tammy Dodge of Pownal; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Salerno of Cleveland, NY and four brothers, John and Ricky Dutton of Syracuse, Leonard Dutton of Chittenango, NY and Terry Dutton of Brantingham, NY. She is also survived by a close personal friend, Bonnie Davis. Pat was predeceased by a sister, Carol Hess.

Friends may call at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 6289 Main Street, Bennington on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
