Patricia G. "Patti" Dean, 53, a resident of County Street, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, March 21, 2015 at her residence.
Born in Bennington on September 15, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Albert Bates Dean and Josephine (Chandler) Dean. Patti received her education in Bennington and was a 1981 graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School.
For many years Patti had been employed as an administrator at the Paradise Inn in Bennington.
Patti loved her family, friends and her pets Elvis Anne and Jessie. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her love of rock music.
Survivors include her sister, Linda Dean-Farrar; two brothers, Rick Dean of Burlington and Jeff Dean of Bennington; her nieces and nephews, Robert Andrew, his wife Shannon, his daughter Sara and her mother, Jean; Franklin Dean-Farrar; Justin Dean, his wife Amanda and daughters Rachel, Annabelle and Alice; David Dean, his wife Rebecca and their children Evander and Clara; Adam Dean and his daughter Adrianna and a great-niece, Mariah Andrew; as well as a special long-time friend Philip Pappas, his wife Mandy and children Hogan, Nick and Thea.
Patti was predeceased by a sister, Marge Rogers, twin siblings, John and Joan Dean and a nephew, Mark E. Andrew.
A celebration of Patti Dean's life will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 5:45 p.m.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
Should friends desire memorial contributions in Patti Dean's memory may be made to the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center Patient Resource Fund, 160 Hospital Drive, Bennington, VT or the Sunrise Family Resource Center, 244 Union Street, Bennington, VT.
