Patricia A. Amato, 67, a resident of Bennington, Vermont passed away peacefully on February 23rd, 2024 following a long illness. Born on August 27th, 1956, in Albany, New York She was the daughter of the late Sidney E. Decker and Lorraine Bender. Patricia was raised in Upstate New York and spent most of her adult life in Manchester, New Hampshire. She worked for years as a meat cutter and bartender in Manchester. Following her retirement she moved to Bennington. Patricia enjoyed crossword puzzles and coloring. She especially enjoyed time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Most of all, Patricia lived for her family. As a stay at home mom, she was a generous person who would give and do anything for her children. Survivors include her children; Floyd Amidon Jr., Christina Carignan, and Tonya Kinara. Her grandchildren; James Carignan III, Arianna Carignan, Devan Carignan, Nickenan Carignan, Nickolina Carignan, Brindle Carignan, Braelyn Carignan, Winnesaun Carignan, Kenneth Olibrice, and Isabella Olibrice. As well as her great grandchildren; Ella Carignan, Sophia Carignan, James Carignan IV, and Caspain Carignan Hartford. Patricia was predeceased by her former husband: Floyd Amidon Sr. Following Patricia’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
