Rita M. Fedorka, 93, of East Arlington, VT, passed into eternal life early Sunday morning, October 29, 2017, at Southwest Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born February 16, 1924, daughter of Eva (Findley) and Edwin Williams in Millerton, NY, where she was raised and graduated high school.
During World War II she was a Quality Control Inspector for GE at Stratford, CT. She could trace her family back to Glastenbury Town Clerk Lydia Mattison Bradford. Her late husband, Clarence G. Fedorka, was a decorated B-24 gunner during World War ii in the Southeast Asia Theater.
She was a member of the Sandgate United Methodist Church and supporter of Second Chance Animal Shelter and Martha Canfield Library.
Survivors are her daughter, Diane Wechter of Arlington, VT, and son David Fedorka of Bennington, VT. She was predeceased by her sister Shirley O'Dell of Millerton, and brothers Edward Williams of Albany, NY and Leslie Williams of Altamont, NY.
