Nancy Ann Marcoux, 78, a resident of Walloomsac Apartments, Bennington, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her home following a long illness.
Born in Bennington on March 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Agnes M. (Giard) Marcoux. Nancy received her early education at Sacred Heart School and was a 1955 graduate of Bennington High School. She later attended Florida Keys Community College.
In earlier years Nancy had been employed at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and later at NAPA Auto Parts in Key West, Florida.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 1332 and the Am Vets.
Nancy was formally married to the late Clifford Crosier.
Nancy's family is very appreciative of the many acts of kindness that were shown to her in so many ways by her many friends during her lengthy illness.
Survivors include a sister, Marie Therese Marcoux of Rumford, Maine and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary L. Pierce.
The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a prayer and from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 11:30 a.m. where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
