Monte "Bucky" L. Bushee Jr.

He was born in Bennington, VT on August 4, 1959. He was the son of the late Monte L. Bushee Sr. and Anna M. (Blair) Harwood who survives.
Bucky received his education in Bennington and graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School in 1978. Following high school, he joined the Army National Guard.
He married the former Sheryl "Sherri" Jones in October of 1980 at the Shaftsbury Methodist Church.
In earlier years, Bucky was employed at Reilly Tire. He later worked at Wassick Tire and most recently at Bennington Tire.
He was a former member of the Bennington Eagles and Moose Club. He loved to go four wheeling and being in the woods. He also enjoyed playing softball where he played in the Bennington Men's Softball League.
Survivors include his wife, Sherri Bushee of Bennington. A son Steven Bushee and his fiancé Gena Mooney of Bennington. Two daughters, Camie Bushee and her fiancé Leon of Bennington, April Toole and her husband Phillip of North Bennington. His seven grandchildren, Bradley, Brandyn, Patrick, Kasandra, Troy, Marleigh and Phil Jr. His mother Anna Harwood of Bennington. His brothers and sisters, Mark Bushee of Bennington, Cindy Hester of Orlando, Florida, Matthew Bushee Sr. of Bennington, Amy Bushee of Virginia, Corey Bushee of Bennington and Peggy Sherman of Bennington. Along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday June 4, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A celebration of life will follow the visitation at the VFW Post 1332 on Friday evening.
