MILDRED "LINDY" WARREN
Lindy Warren passed away peacefully on July 14th, after several weeks of care at the Centers For Living, in Bennington, Vermont.
She was born on Christmas Day, 1928, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the third of five children born to Swedish immigrant parents.
In 1951, she followed her dream of moving to Hollywood, California, drawn to working in the booming television and film industry. A few years later, she became the executive secretary and production assistant to the man she would eventually marry, writer-producer-director Charles M. Warren. She remained devoted to him until his passing in 1990, when she relocated to southern Vermont, joining her beloved sister and extended family.
She was involved with Oldcastle Theatre for a brief time, continuing her love of the arts. She delighted her family and friends with her sharp wit, her amazing memory, and her kind heart. She is survived by her sister Lillian of Shaftsbury, VT, her brother George of Fairfield, CT, and numerous nieces and nephews across the country.
A celebration service will be held in the Fall. Her family wishes to acknowledge the sweet and compassionate care of everyone at Centers For Living, angels on earth! We are so very grateful for each one of them.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to support residents of the Centers For Living in need of personal items. Donations may be sent to the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT
05201 in the memory of Lindy Warren.
