She was born in Bennington, VT August 17, 1974. She was the daughter of Richard and Anita (Cross) Greene. She received her early education in Shaftsbury and was a 1992 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School.
Michelle married Jason Gwozdz on October 17, 1992 at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Michelle was a patient there at the time.
In earlier years Michelle was employed at the Outlet Store of CB Sports. She later worked at Carbone's in Bennington and more recently at the Bank of Bennington.
Michelle enjoyed camping and loved to go to the beach. She lived life to the fullest. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her daughter Kaitlyn.
Survivors include her husband Jason Gwozdz of Shaftsbury. Her daughter, Kaitlyn Gwozdz of Bennington. Her parents, Richard and Anita Greene of Shaftsbury. A brother, Richard Greene Jr. and Anna Schneider of Newton, North Carolina and a sister Beth McKenzie and Thad Stiffel and their children, Paige and Jordan of Englewood, Florida. Along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Monday June 5, 2017 from 4;00 to 6:00 p.m.
A memorial service to celebrate Michelle's life will be held on Monday at 6:00 p.m.
The burial will take place in the family lot at the Waite Cemetery in Shaftsbury on Tuesday
June 6, at 11:00 a.m.
