BENNINGTON- Michael Lewis Serre, 58, a resident of Bennington, Vermont, passed away on Friday October 29th, 2021.
Born on December 23rd, 1962 in North Adams, Massachusetts to the late Beatrice (White) and Henry Serre. He graduated from Mount Anthony High School and began pursuing a career in manufacturing.
Michael had a fondness for being a machinist, that led to a nearly 40 year career. Most of his career was spent working for UST before it was bought out by Plasan Carbon Composites. Whether it was operating a CNC machine or a lathe, Michael had a love for his work. He was most recently employed by the National Hanger Company.
His passions did not end with his work. Besides his friends and family, he loved music, which he showcased as a talented guitarist and singer. Michael was also an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed rafting, hiking, and fishing. He also enjoyed partying into the night with his many friends!
Michael is survived by his two sons, Dorian (Sonja) and Nathaniel Serre. He is also survived by three granddaughters, two nephews, and a brother Glenn Serre.
He is predeceased by his parents and a son Talon. As well as a lifelong friend and fellow musician Rick Danforth.
At this time there will be no services. However, the family plans to have a celebration of life in honor of Michael at a later date.
