Michael Joseph Rinaldo, 67, a resident of Bennington, passed away peacefully at his residence on South Street. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 10th, 1954 to Carmella Uomoleale and Frank Rinaldo Sr.
Michael grew up in Mount Vernon, NY and attended local schools, graduating from Mount Vernon High School in 1972. Michael worked as a postal carrier in Mount Vernon before moving to upstate New York. He spent many years in the Petersburg and Stephentown area before moving more east to Bennington in the 1990's.
Michael always had a love for collecting coins and stamps. He also enjoyed playing chess, which was something that his father had taught him at a very young age.
Michael is survived by his three siblings; Frank Rinaldo Jr., of Wurtsboro, NY, Matteo Rinaldo, of Shrewsbury, MA, and Kathy (Ed) LaBoda, of Upstate New York. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Carmella and Frank Rinaldo.
At the request of the family, the burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the family plot in the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in New Rochelle, New York.
