Michael J. Pinsonneault, 77, a resident of Pageant Street in Bennington, VT died peacefully at his home on Thursday September 15, 2022 following a brief illness.
He was born in North Adams, MA on March 21, 1945. He was the son of Douglas and Thèrése (Landry) Pinsonneault. Mike received his education in North Adams schools and was a graduate of Drury High school. He later graduated from the Albany College of Pharmacy of Union University.
He married the former Gail Raina on April 1, 1967 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in North Adams, MA.
Mike was employed as a pharmacist at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, Grand Union in Bennington and CVS. He also worked at the Hospital and Whitney's Pharmacy in North Adams. For several years Mike was the pharmacist at the Williams College Infirmary in Williamstown, MA.
An avid golfer, Mike was a member of the Mount Anthony Country Club in Bennington, the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown and the Cypress Woods Country Club in Naples, FL. Over the years he won several club championships and along with his son Douglas won many Father/Son tournaments. Mike, along with his wife Gail, enjoyed wintering in Naples, FL.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Pinsonneault of Bennington. A son Todd Pinsonneault and his partner, Michael Haley, of Derry, NH. A brother Patrick Pinsonneault of Pensacola, FL and several nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. He is also survived by his beloved dog Eve. He was predeceased by a son, Douglas Pinsonneault who died April 16, 2014.
The Funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday September 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. with a prayer and then from Sacred Heart/Saint Francis de Sales Church at 11:00 where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered.
The burial will take place in the family lot at Southview Cemetery in North Adams at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday September 20 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
