Max James Taylor Sr., 83, resident of Richford, Vermont passed away on January 24, 2025 at Crescent Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bennington, Vermont. Born on September 4, 1941, he was the son of the late James and Florence Taylor of Cambridge, Vermont. He was predeceased by a brother, Walter – and six sisters, Dora, Dorothy, Pearl, Marion, Wanita, and Gyneth. Max is survived by a sister, Irene Carlson, and a brother, Wendall Taylor. His daughters: Marie Westcott (Paul), Beverly Harris (Jerry Green), Teresa Honyoust (Duane), Rita Taylor (Timothy Almy) and a son, Max Taylor Jr. (Terry). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a very proud veteran of the United States Army. In his spare time, Max enjoyed planting flowers, watching birds, chipmunks and squirrels. He also loved cuddling with his pets, ice fishing, and watching stock car races. A time for visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Mahar Funeral Home in Bennington, Vermont. A burial with military honors for Max Taylor Sr. will be held on April 25, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Montgomery Center Cemetery located in Montgomery, Vermont.
