Mary Anne Roy a former resident of Bennington and Pownal , Vermont for 91 years, passed into the next life surrounded by her family in her Milford, New Hampshire home. She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Marcien , her five children, Eugene, Peggy, Mary, Leon and Anne Marie, their spouses and their families which encompass 31 grandchildren and 53 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Estelle (Betit) Hoth, her brother Edward Betit, four sisters-in law and many nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Theodule and Hermine (Bellemare) Betit and mother of deceased son Robert (Bobby). She was preceded also by brothers Joseph and Louis Betit.
A member of Sacred Heart and St. Francis de Salle Church, she was also a member of the Sacred Heart and St. Francis Prayer Group, often offering great support to family, friends and others in need. She was also member of the St. Anne's society and past president.
Co- owner with her husband, Marcien, of the Royal Pine Villa Home Park, she was a woman of many skills and talents, including being a hairdresser and known for beautiful cake decorating. She also had previously worked for Thompson Manufacturer, and Bellemare and Sons.
She and her husband enjoyed many years with their friends in the Marriage Encounter program.
A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Bennington, Vermont on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
