Mary Ann Nash (61 years old) "Josie" passed away on December 12, 2016 in Centurion, South Africa. Mary Ann was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Woodbury, New Jersey attending St. Patrick's elementary school and Woodbury High School. She also attended Boston College and earned a graduate's degree in Library Science at Rutgers University. She also received her MBA from Claremont University in California. Mary Ann was also an athlete in High School and played field hockey. Mary Ann married Forrest Walker and they spent several years in Panama and in Dubai. They have also traveled the world seeing fifty countries from Bolivia to Nepal. In her retirement, she began teaching English to children in places such as Cambodia.
Mary Ann is survived by her beloved husband, Forrest Walker and two sisters, Tricia who lives in New York City and Susan who lives in Toms River, NJ. She also has 5 nieces and nephews, Kevin, Lara, Trever, Rachael and Drew.
Mary Ann was predeceased by several family members originally from North Bennington including her parents, Fran (Keough) and Edward Nash; her grandparents, Leo and Mary (Powers) Keough and Mary Ann (Nash) Conway and uncles Robert Keough and Francis Nash.
The funeral will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:00 am where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in North Bennington.
