Mary Ellen Lawson-Quinn (Lawson)

Mary Ellen Lawson Quinn, 77, a former resident of Finbar's Forrest Road in Manchester, VT died Saturday February 15, 2020 at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.

She was born in Rockville Center, New York February 16, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Vincent Lawson and Rose Cecilia (Kelly) Lawson. She received her education at Saint Agnes in Rockville, NY and attended Molloy College in New York.

She married William Oscar Quinn.

Mary Ellen was employed as a school teacher in Lynbrook, NY and at the Red Cloud Indian School in Pineridge, South Dakota.

Mary Ellen loved art and going to different museums. She also enjoyed listening to the music of the Monks of the Western Priory.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Quinn-Love of Pownal, Vermont. A grandson, Alexei Wilkins- Love of Bennington. A brother, William J. Lawson and his wife Dorothea of Paradise, California along with two nephews and a niece, William, Benjamin and Sara Lawson.

At Mary Ellen's request there will be no calling hours.

The funeral will be held from Saint Paul's Catholic Church in Manchester, VT on Friday February 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered.

The burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
