Mary Jane Sausville, a resident of Bennington, Vermont passed away peacefully at her home on June 25th, 2023. Born on July 17th, 1937, in Chiselville, Vermont. She was the daughter of the late Henry William and Martha (McDermott) Weeks. Mary Jane received her early education in Bennington, and graduated from Bennington High School with the class of 1955. On April 27th, 1957 She married the late Paul J. Sausville Sr. at Saint Francis De Sales Church in Bennington. Paul passed away on May 12, 2009. Mary Jane was well known as a lunch lady and head cook in Catamount and Bennington Elementary Schools, and later at Mount Anthony Union Middle School. Mary Jane enjoyed gardening, taking walks or rides in the car, and reading books. Her main interest was her family. Survivors include her children; Catherine Sausville, PJ Sausville (Colleen), Henry Sausville (Wendy), Phil Sausville (Pam), and Steve Sausville (Vicki). Her sisters; Judy Oulette (Dan), Kathy Durocher (Kevin), and Sally Rogers. Her grandchildren; Jason Sausville (Jennifer), Phil Sausville (Laura), Amanda Sausville, Sarah Sausville, Wendy Sausville, and Jake Sausville (Jackie). Her Great Grandchildren; Mitchell, Ayden, Russell, and Brody. As well as, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary Jane is predeceased by her husband of fifty-two years; Paul J. Sausville Sr. As well as, a sister: Janet McLenithan. Calling hours will be held at 11am to 1pm at Mahar Funeral Home in Bennington on June 29th, 2023. A funeral will be held following the conclusion of the calling hours. Following the services at the funeral home, friends and relatives will be invited to the Graveside at White Chapel Cemetery for the committal prayers.
