Mary Louise Crowley

Mary Louise Crowley, 82 of Bennington, VT, passed away on February 26, 2024, at Crescent Manor Care Center in Bennington. She was born in Bennington on January 25, 1942, the daughter of Rene’ and Louise (Leonard) LaFlamme. She married Thomas Crowley on December 18, 1987. Thomas passed away in March of 2012. Mary was a seamstress for a large portion of her working life. She worked for Douglas Toy in Keene, NH, and also worked as a secretary in the Keene School System. She enjoyed clay shooting with her husband. This hobby led to them opening the Vermont Vest Company in Bennington. Her greatest joy came from time being spent with her family. Mary is survived by her daughter, Jean (Craig) Acton of Bennington, VT, her son Stephen (Brenda) Walczak of Hillsboro, VA, her grandchildren; Ian (Caitlin) Harrington, Todd Harrington, Karli Fisher, Andrew (Tracy) Walczak and Cayla Phipps, 4 great grandchildren, her brothers, Leonard LaFlamme of Cambridge, NY and Raymond LaFlamme of Springfield, MA. In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by her sister, Aline LaFlamme and her brother, Leo LaFlamme. Funeral services for Mary will be held on Saturday March 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Mahar Funeral Home 628 Main Street Bennington, VT. Burial will take place in the spring.
