Martha A. Weeks ('Mcdermott)

She was born in Arlington, VT on August 19, 1914 and was the daughter of the late Ira and Mary Emma (Hurd) McDermott. She received her education in Arlington.
Mr. and Mrs. Weeks were married in Cambridge, NY on August 8, 1933. Mr. Weeks died December 14, 1971.
In earlier years, Mrs. Weeks was employed with her husband in the catering business. They also worked at Camp Wynakee in Dorset, VT and at Tanglewood in the Berkshires in the summer months. Later she worked at Williams College.
She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bennington. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include: four daughters: Mary Jane Sausville, Judith (Dan) Ouellette, Kathleen (Kevin) Durocher and Sally Rogers, all of Bennington. Nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Weeks is predeceased by one daughter Janet McLenithan, one grandson, Jeffrey McLenithan, one granddaughter Jennifer Ouellette. She is also predeceased by one sister, Ethel Hard, and two sons-in-law; Paul Sausville and Ted Rogers.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. in Bennington. Interment will take place in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from11:00 AM until the time of the service.
