Marjorie A. Rogers (Andrews)

Marjorie A. Rogers, 98, a former longtime resident of Route 7A, Arlington, died on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Rivers Edge Community Care Home in Bennington where she had resided for the past few years.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd William and Adelaide DeVoto (Harvey) Andrews.

Marge married the late Rocco R. (Ruggiero) Rogers on March 11, 1938 in Manhattan at the Church of the Transfiguration, more famously known as "The Little Church Around the Corner". They resided in upper Manhattan for many years prior to moving to Rockville Center, NY

Marge was employed as a telephone operator in New York for over 20 years until she and Rock moved to Arlington in 1962 where they operated a bed and breakfast for many years.

Both Marge and Rock were devout members of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Arlington. Her favorite pastime was playing her baby grand piano every day which she continued to do as long as her health allowed.

Marge was predeceased by a sister, Doris Richardson Orbel who died in 1993.

At Marge's request funeral services will be private. Burial will take place in St. Columban's Cemetery in Arlington.

Funeral services are under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
