Marjorie Jane Morse I, 74, a resident of Applegate Drive in Bennington died Friday September 23, 2016 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester, VT at the family home on (Date of birth). She was the daughter of the late William and Louise (Balch) Hulett. Marjorie received her education in Manchester and Randolph, VT.
She married Edward Morse Sr. on August 4, 1979 in North Bennington. Mr. Morse died September 7, 2003.
In earlier years Marjorie worked as a waitress in Manchester and had also worked at a bowl manufacturer in Granville, Vermont.
She enjoyed sewing and taking care of and raising her children. Her grandchildren were her main interest. She also enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table smoking and drinking coffee.
Survivors include her children, Darsee Hulett and her significant other Randy Hathaway of Bradford, VT, Terry Hogan of Union, S.C., Darren Boardman of Springfield, VT, Derryck "Bone" Boardman of Bennington, Catherine "Katie" Boardman of Bennington, Richard "Dick" Morse of Bennington, William "Willy" Boardman and his wife Shelly of Bennington, Bertha "Bert" Fraker and her husband Brian of Three Springs, PA, Helen Decker and her husband Raymond of Bennington and Edward "Bear" Morse Jr. and his wife Fay of Bennington; twenty seven grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren; a brother John Hulett of Bozeman, Montana; a sister in law Linda Hulett of Manchester and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a son, Harry Morse, a grandson David Sargent, a brother William "Butch" Hulett and two sisters, Katherine Danforth and Ann Hodges.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday September 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The burial will take place in the family lot at White Chapel Cemetery on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
