Marion L. Sibley

Marion L. Sibley, a resident of 91 Sycamore Lane in West Arlington passed away at her home on October 1, 2023. She was born in Ogdensburg, New York on October 9, 1942, the daughter of Wallace and Ruth (Fredenburg) Sibley. She received her early education in Russell, NY, moved to Tomkins Cove and graduated from Haverstraw High School. She later attended Orange County Community College where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse. In her early working career, Marion worked as an RN in California. She later worked at Mary McLellan Hospital in Cambridge, NY for 14 years, the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for 5 years, and then for Dr. Erik Seyferth for 18 ½ years from which she retired. She is survived by a daughter, McKenzie Marie Sibley of Houston, TX, two grandchildren; Isaac Sibley of West Arlington, VT, and Hassan Suawn of Houston, TX, her brothers, and sisters; Wallace Sibley, Jr., Frank Sibley, George Sibley, Robert Sibley, Beatrice Sustack, Deborah Trapp and Ann Nunno, a very close family friend, Elaine Ross, of Stony Point, NY and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Scott Sibley, 3 brothers: John, Richard, and William Sibley a sister, Harriet Evers, a granddaughter, Willow Bucchieri, and by her companion, Margaret Greenwald. Funeral services for Marion will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 11:00 Am at St. James Episcopal Church in Arlington.
