Marion A. Noyes

Marion Noyes 100, a longtime resident of Bennington, Vermont passed away peacefully on May 21st, 2024, at Rivers Edge Community Care Home in Bennington. Born on December 15, 1923 in Bennington. She was the daughter of the late Ralph J. Leonard and Alma (LaPointe) Leonard. Marion was raised and received her education in Bennington. On July 20th, 1946, she married Truman A. Noyes. They were married for 62 years when Truman passed away on August 20, 2008. Marion worked at Union Carbide for 39 years. She retired in 1985. She also worked in the Bennington schools for 15 years. Marion’s main interest was her family. Survivors include two brothers; Ralph Leonard of North Pownal and Nelson Toby Leonard of Bennington. Her daughter; Gale Libby (Brett). Her son; Buck Noyes (Vicky). Her grandchildren; Margo Knapp, Bruce Knapp Jr., Amara Branford, Chelsea Branford, and Jayden Knapp, all of Bennington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her sisters; Louise Peacock, Bea Olin, Velta Thayer, Beulah Racicot, Eva O’Dell, Barbara Baker, and Shirley Carroll. As well as her parents. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Tuesday May 28, 2024 from 11am until 1pm at Mahar Funeral Home in Bennington. At 1pm there will be a funeral service, and following the service she will be buried with her husband in the family lot at Hinsdillville Cemetery in Bennington.
