1927-2021
Margaret Jean Walsh, commonly known to most as "Jean", passed away peacefully on November 10,2021 after a long, valiant fight with deteriorating health. She was cared for by the wonderful staff at the Watson House Community Care Home in North Bennington, VT.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Howard (Anni) McAvoy of Stillwater, NY. Her daughter and son in law Colleen (Michael) Scholz and her grandson Jamie Scholz.
Jean was a lifelong resident of Scotia, NY who loved to travel and entertaining. She was past chief daughter of the Lady MacRae Lodge; she was also very involved in the organization and operations of the Capital District Scottish games.
She is predeceased by her husband, James Walsh, sisters Carol DiBiase, Dawn Soper, brother, Alvah Koert and granddaughter, Stacey Scholz.
At Jean's request a private gathering will be held in the coming weeks at Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady, NY
