Margaret L. Gerity (Miller)

December 1, 1932 — March 18, 2020

Margaret "Peg" Gerity, a resident of White Birches Park, Bennington, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the age of 87 years old. Her death came about due to a short illness.

She has passed on leaving her husband Douglas Gerity after 67 years of marriage. She also leaves two daughters and a son, Dale Gerity of Bennington, Wanda Stewart of Delta Junction, Alaska and Mark Gerity and wife Hope of Bennington; five grandchildren Jeremy Morin, Laura White, Kate, Jeff and Sara Gerity and seven great-grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and Bob Miller and by three sisters, Jean, Joyce and Shirley.

Margaret graduated from Bennington High School and attended the Baltimore School of Nursing. She ran a day-care center from her home for many years before going to work at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center as a pediatrics nurse for 20 years.

Margaret enjoyed hiking, gardening, fishing, taking car ides and watching horse racing. You will be deeply missed by your entire family and friends.

There will be no services.
