Lynn O'Brien, 53, a resident of Hoosick Falls, NY died Saturday January 20, 2018 at the South Nassau Community Hospital in Oceanside, NY following a long illness.
She was born in Cambridge, NY March 24, 1964. She was the daughter of the late David and Angela (DiMaggio) O'Brien. Lynn was a graduate of Hoosick Falls Central High School. She later took college courses in social services.
For over 30 years Lynn was employed as a bartender at T-Bones Bar and Grill in Hoosick Falls, NY.
Lynn enjoyed playing pool, darts and cards, going to the drive-in movies with her nieces and nephews and cooking and teaching those who didn't know how. She loved music and singing and she had an amazing voice. Lynn enjoyed being with friends and hanging out with her family. Lynn's
biggest compassion was the love of animals. She had many interests and was a very spiritual person. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include two sisters, Toni Peelle (Ivan) of Bennington, VT and Loretta Peters (John) of Greenfield, MA; two brothers Edward O'Brien (Beverly) of Hoosick Falls, NY and Michael O'Brien (Patti) of Bennington, VT and her longtime friends Christopher Siptroth and Tabitha King. She was pre-deceased by a brother Mark O'Brien
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Wednesday January 31, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m followed by a celebration of Lynn's life at the Sandbar at 21 Lyman Street in Hoosick Falls, NY from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
