WHITE CREEK, NY
Louise M. Ogert, 89, a long-time resident of White Creek, New York, died peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the Vermont Veterans Home, surrounded by her family.
Louise was born in Bennington, Vermont on December 21, 1928, the daughter of Marshall Fillmore and Jennie (Allen) Fillmore. She received her education in the Hoosick Falls schools and later graduated from St. Josephs Business College in Bennington.
Louise married John W. Ogert, Sr. on October 16, 1948 at the White Creek Methodist Church. John passed away on June 25, 1985.
Louise was employed at Bennington College for many years. She enjoyed bingo, knitting and gardening.
She is survived by five children, a daughter, Anne Marie (Paul) Renzi of Gainesville, Georgia, a daughter, Linda Durkee of Biddeford, Maine, a son Marshall (Michele) Ogert of Cambridge, New York, a son, Robert A. Ogert of Boston, Massachusetts, and a daughter, Mary Beth Bennett of Bennington, Vermont; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her son, John W. Ogert, Jr., a daughter, Jeanne O. Harrington and two sisters, Anne Cahill and Jane Harrington.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Rosewood Cemetery in White Creek with Chaplain Kenneth Coonradt of the Vermont Veterans Home officiating officiating.
