Louis Maillet (Maillet)
January 9, 1919 — September 3, 2018
Born in Millnocket, Maine on January 9, 1919, he was raised and educated in Rogersville, New Brunswick Canada.
Mr. Maillet married the former Yvonne Cormier on November 28, 1941 in Rogersville. Mrs. Maillet died February 8, 2002 and his daughter Linda Chaffin died March 21, 2017.
In earlier years, Mr. Maillet was employed in the logging industry and as a carpenter in Albany, NY.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also cheered for the Boston Red Sox.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Donald Maillet and daughter in law, Jean Paquin Maillet of Punta Gorda, FL; eight grandchildren Amber Chaffin, Alexandra Chaffin, Asher Chaffin, Austin Chaffin, Amy Wheeler, Christy Grissom, Sarah Glowczynski and Jo Green.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:30am at the Bennington Village Cemetery. He will be buried next to his wife and daughter.
