Loraine Marie Strohmaier (Legacy)

POWNAL, VERMONT
Loraine Marie Strohmaier, age 74, a longtime resident of Pownal, died on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Sweetbrook Health Center in Williamstown, MA., following a long illness.
She was born in Bennigton, VT on August 15, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Senecal) Legacy. She received her education in local schools.
For many years she has been employed at Price Chopper in Bennington in the Baker Department. Prior to working at Price Chopper she had been a baker at the Applebarn in Bennington. In early years she had been employed at several mills in the area.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Strohmaier of Pownal and her son, Joseph Strohmaier of Pownal. Loraine enjoyed her animals, her plants and tag sales.
Loraine leaves four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She has two sisters and two brothers surviving, and numerous nieces and nephews. Loraine is predeceased by one son, one sister, two brothers and one dog.
Graveside cemetery services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Strohmaier Family Cemetery on Jackson Cross Road in Pownal.
