LOIS GRAS OBITUARY
BENNINGTON, VERMONT

Lois E. (Thompson) Gras, age 85, died peacefully at the Watson House in North Bennington on Monday, February 5, 2018.

She was born in Gilbertsville, NY on October 6, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Austin and Gladys Thompson. She married Gerald Lee Gras on September 20, 1952 in Mount Vison, New York.
They moved to Bennington area in 1968 with their children. Lois worked at First Vermont Bank. Grants department store and P & C Food Market and retired as a caregiver to husband Gerald. Mr. Gras predeceased her on March 16, 2013.

She is survived by her son, Gerald Austin (Sharon) of Shaftsbury, VT her daughter Gail E. (Curt) Morin, of Shaftsbury, VT and her son Gary L. Gras of Arlington, VT.
Lois leaves eight grandchildren; Michael, Jeromy, Matthew, Shannon, Lindsey, Casey, Emma and Austin, as well as five great grandchildren: Michael has one, Edith Elizabeth, Jeromy has two, Matthew and Tilia, and Casey has two, Sophia and Legend. Lois leaves two step-grandchildren: Melissa (Kirby) Ives and Ryan (Krystal) Smith, and their families.

She is also survived by two sisters; Dorothy (Vinny) Scicchitano and Audrey (Leo) Hansen.

Lois loved her knitting and crocheting and all of the animals that she had throughout her life, including her horses and goats but her main interest was being a member of the Bennington Kingdom Hall. Contributions may be sent to; The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 393 Gore Road, Bennington, Vermont 05201.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Kathy Satterthwaite at the Watson House for her excellent care of our mother.

At Lois request, there will not be any visitation or services in Bennington.
A committal service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 1:00PM at the Mount Vision Cemetery, in Mount Vision, New York.
