Linda Lee Hunt

Linda L. Hunt, 76 of Bennington, VT, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on November 6, 2024, following a lengthy illness. Linda was born in Bridgeport, CT on June 22, 1948, the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Raymond) King Sr. Linda married Clarence (Tom) Hunt on October 15, 1993, in White Creek New York.

Linda worked at Johnson Controls in Bennington for many years after they closed, she became a certified nurse and enjoyed caring for the elderly until her retirement.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, working in her flower gardens and feeding the birds. She and Tom loved to sit with each other on their porch where they would watch the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. There was always a seat for family and friends to come and have a piece of whatever Linda baked, share stories and memories of years past. They loved their yearly trips to Maine. Her greatest joy is her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her husband, Tom, of Bennington, VT, her children; Jason (Leeann) Burdick of Bennington, VT, Daniel (Susan) Hunt of Waynesville, Missouri, Dawn (Greg Stratton) Keus of Eagle Bridge, NY and Darcy (Jim Conklin) Hunt of Cambridge, NY, her grandchildren; Gabriella Burdick, Finley Burdick, Bryan (Amanda) Hunt and Darren (Hannah) Hunt, James (Ashley) Keus, Dana (Michael) Keus; her siblings; Beverly Emery of Glens Falls, NY, Wayne King of Norway, NY, Sherry (Kevin) Davis of Pownal, VT, Frank King, Jr., of Bennington, VT and Rick King of Bennington, VT and several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Gary King, her brother-in-law, Douglas Emery, and sisters-in-law, Connie King and Gloria King.

There will be a Celebration of Life in the spring.
