Linda M., Hill, 72, a resident of Hill Road, Hoosick, NY died Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Center for Nursing and Rehab in Hoosick Falls following a long illness.
Born in Rochester, VT on April 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John and Marilyn (Gibbs) Tifft. She received her education in the Rochester and Bennington schools.
Linda married Robert L. Hill Sr. on June 16, 1984 in Bennington.
In earlier years Linda was employed at the Jard's in Bennington. She later was a cook at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and at Bennington Health & Rehabilitation until the time of her illness.
Linda's favorite pastime was reading.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Hill Sr. and a son, Robert L. Hill Jr., both of Bennington; two sisters, Cher (Vaughn) Sharkey of Hoosick, NY and Rebecca Gratz of Bennington; two brothers, Michael (Connie) Tifft of Clarksburg, MA and David (Carol) Tifft of Milton, VT and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda was predeceased by two sisters, Grace Martin and Dorothy Capin.
Family and friends of Linda are invited to a Remembrance of Her Life to be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.at the Bennington Moose Lodge, 916 Main Street, Bennington.
