Linda Hedden (Moran)

Linda Hedden, 73, a longtime resident of the Pawlet area, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 6th, 2021. She was born in Providence, RI on July 19th 1948, the daughter of Virginia (Ewing) and Athill Moran.
Linda graduated from the Randolph High School in Randolph, NJ in the Class of 1966. She married the love of her life, Robert Hedden on July 11th 1970 in Randolph, NJ. Together, her and Bob spent many years in the Pawlet area, moving up to the area in 1982.
Linda was known for her lavish dinner parties, especially around the holidays. She took great pride in the care of her home and had a very keen eye for art. Linda also designed and maintained her incredible gardens wherever her and Bob made their home . She also was a great help to Bob in running the family business, the Hedden Company, taking on many roles as an executive assistant.
Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bob Hedden; her father in-law, Woody Hedden, of Randolph, NJ; a brother, Keith Moran, of Norwich, VT; a half sister Cindy Reeves, of Mount Arlington, NJ. She is also survived by three brothers-in-law; Bill (Eleanor) Hedden, of Mount Desert Island, ME; Ken (Janice) Hedden, of Danby, VT; Tom (Lynne) Hedden, of Tabernacle, NJ, and a sister in law, Jennifer Hedden, of Mount Arlington, NJ. Linda was predeceased by a brother, Hillston Moran and a sister in law, Jane Hedden.
At the request of the family, a celebration of life will be held for Linda at the convenience of the family. Bob has recently moved to the Equinox Village. Once he has had a chance to settle in, we will announce the date.
If friends desire, memorial contributions in memory of Linda Hedden may be made to your favorite local animal shelters, through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home.
