Linda M. Hackett, 79, a resident of Bennington, VT passed away on March 11th, 2024. Linda was born in Hartford, CT on March 16th, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Aurile J. LaCroix and Blanche (Boutin) LaCroix. Linda received her early education at Sacred Heart School and was a 1962 graduate of Bennington Catholic High School. In earlier years, Linda was the co-owner of the 3-Way Restaurant in Petersburg, NY. She was also employed at an insurance agency in Clifton Park, NY. She would later go on to work at Tansitor-Vishay in Bennington for many years until her retirement in 2010. Survivors include two sons: Mark E. Hackett (Debra Brownell) and his son Mark Anthony Hackett of Petersburg; Kevin L. Hackett (Sophia) and their children, Aaron and Amanda Hackett of Virginia Beach, VA. A brother, Arthur J. LaCroix of Morton Grove, Illinois; a sister, Donna LaCroix of Vancouver, WA. One aunt: Jeannette Kulas of Bennington; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Linda was predeceased by her grandson, Michael Thomas Hackett, and her former husband, Thomas A. Hackett. A mass for Linda will be held at 11am on March 15th, 2024 at Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church on Main street in Bennington. Private committal services will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls, NY at the convenience of the family. Should friends desire, memorial contributions in Linda M.
